This time, I am going to use aluminum and 3D printed parts.<\/p>\n<p>I redesigned the entire robot, implementing many improvements from previous versions.<\/p>\n<p>The keynotes are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Aluminum chassis<\/li>\n<li>3D printed parts and wheels<\/li>\n<li>Design for both fast and movable suspension on drive wheels<\/li>\n<li>Waterproof sheet metal body cover<\/li>\n<li>Increased dimensions allowing more space for batteries and electronics<\/li>\n<li>Ball bearings<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The reason for yet another version is the Prusa XL 3D printer. The XL is larger than my trusted MK3S+, so I can produce most of the parts on it without the need for plywood and CNC machining. This gives me more flexibility and makes the R&amp;D process faster.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Design \u2013 v4.0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I will write more as soon as I have spare time.
