This time I wanted something bigger, better, stiffer, and much more powerful.<\/p>\n<p>My key criteria were:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Work Area 1250x650x150mm<\/li>\n<li>Aluminum Extrusion Profiles<\/li>\n<li>Ballscrews<\/li>\n<li>Closed Loop Stepper Motors with Encoder Feedback<\/li>\n<li>2.2kW Water-Cooled Spindle Motor with VFD<\/li>\n<li>Better Controller<\/li>\n<li>Metal Case for Electronics<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The design of this took me some time, as it is my hobby and I only worked on it in my spare time.<\/p>\n<p>I used SolidWorks to design this machine.<\/p>\n<p>The finished to China for production.<\/p>\n<p>Oh, BTW, if you look at the drawing, the parts I designed were not using 6061 aluminum but 2017A, which is an aerospace-grade aluminum alloy.<\/p>\n\t<div class=\"img
